Drop Down Curriculum
Our Drop Down curriculum’s primary aims are to ensure the students are given the opportunity to learn a variety of skills throughout the curriculum, and the student’s children are prepared for the 21st Century. The “drop down” part of it is referring to let’s drop down our pens and actively learn some important skills.
The Drop Down curriculum consists of creative arts (art, design, textiles), performing arts (music and drama) and design and technology (including cooking and media).
Recent activities
Life skills – Designing, creating and selling items for the Christmas Fayre
Life skills – Making Christmas decorations for the hall for Christmas lunch, planning, practising and cooking meals using recipes
Media task – Christmas Films, School Production, Drama Club
Creativity task – Design a Christmas T Shirt competition, using recycled materials such as wood to create items which can be sold
Community task - Christmas Fayre/Easter Fayre, Pop Up Shop, external visits to libraries and outdoor pursuits
Wellbeing focus - Whole School Christmas Lunch
